Fiscal Services

The Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts Fiscal unit is comprised of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Mail Services.  This unit acts as the custodian while performing all fiduciary duties on behalf of Superior and Magistrate Courts.  This obligation includes the receipting and disbursing of funds in accordance with Georgia statutes and/or orders issued by a judge.  

Accounts Payable

This unit is responsible for disbursing funds to Plaintiffs, Municipalities, Garnishees and our valued internal as well as external customers.  Disbursement categories include but not limited to:  Magistrate Court garnishment payments, Civil, Real Estate, Trust Registry payments, Revenue payments (mandated disbursements), Protest payments and/or refunds upon approval.

Accounts Receivable

This unit is responsible for the collection, supervision, security, deposit and reconciliation of the Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts receipts of each division (Magistrate Court, Civil, Real Estate Recording/Processing and Records Management).  Accounts Receivable also collects funds from other Municipalities and/or Courts as well customer deposits into the courts.

Mailroom

The mailroom is responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail for Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts. The operation of the area consist of sorting, delivering and picking up mail to support the functionality of our organization. Magistrate Court garnishment payments and/or Real Estate recording instruments, remittance and correspondence received via mail, are just a few of the critical documents and payments received in this area.
