Processing My Application

The Fulton County Clerk of Superior Court works directly with the U.S. Department of State to assist with processing passport applications. While the Clerk's office acts as an application adjudicating agency, we are not the direct issuing agency of the actual passport.  

Items you'll need to process your passport application:

Adults 16 & Older (1st time applying) 4-6 weeks 
-(DS-11) Passport Application
-Original Birth Certificate (with parents info)
-State Issued I.D. (Driver's License)
-Passport Photo (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart)
-$110 Application Fee (Check or Money Order to the U.S. Dept. of State) (additional $60 to Expedite 2-3 weeks)
-$25 Processing Fee (Cash, Check, Money Order, Debit or Credit)

***Adult passports are valid for 10 years and can only be renewed if the passport was issued over 15 years.
All passports issued less than 15 years must be renewed by mail (DS-82).


Minors 15 & Under (1st time applying) 4-6 weeks (children must be present)
-(DS-11) Passport Application
-Original Birth Certificate (with parents info)
-State Issued I.D. (Driver's License)
-Passport Photo (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart)
-$80 Application Fee (Check or Money Order to the U.S. Dept. of State) (additional $60 to Expedite 2-3 weeks)
-$25 Processing Fee (Cash, Check, Money Order, Debit or Credit)

***If both parent's names are on the birth certificate, both parents must be present at time of application; however, if at least one parent cannot be present, he/she must provide the accompanying parent with a Consent Form (DS-3053) and a front/back copy of his/her driver's license. 

***A minor's passport is valid for 5 years and can only be renewed in person (not by mail).
